Each year, over 60 companies submit projects for consideration in the ACEC New York Engineering Excellence Awards and are judged on a rigorous set of criteria that include innovation and value to society. OLA is a proud award recipient for its 2021 entry—the New York State Equal Rights Heritage Center, ‘See what they stood for, hear what they said’. OLA provided MEP engineering services on this 7,500 sq. ft. development consisting of four angled brick volumes. Through radiant floors, ductwork free ceilings in exhibit spaces, geothermal HVAC and more, we accomplished our goal of ensuring visitors wouldn’t be distracted by noisy, unsightly mechanical equipment.
